light tunnel

finally able to play around with adobe after effects on my computer

for some reason... the past couple times i've tried to open the program... it's immediately shut down and won't start. but for some reason, it's up and running and it's kind of exciting to be able to play around with the program during my off time.

again... this clip is replicated through a tutorial found on creative cow.

consisted of two layers:

first layer is the layer with all the ellipses. duplicated those to fill up the whole screen. added on a glow and added on a wiggle transformation which makes each circle flash at different rates

then applied a "cc cylinder" effect which turns the lights into a 3-dimensional looking circle. adjusted the size so that it would fill up the space and added keyframes to make it rotate.

lastly made another ellipse with a blur effect to make it seem like the middle of the cylinder is fading from darkness. pretty easy and definitely a good tool to know.
